Welcome to my blog

Hello All who call in at my blog. It is meant for me to change my way of life but you are welcome to read it and maybe be inspired yourself if you need to change. It is also a diary of these sort of things made past and present.
I have always done knitting crocheting and sewing but rarely displayed it at all even though I have had craft blogs and forums for many years and joined in Craft Challenges on Blogger since early 2011. The crafts on the blogs were all about artwork, tags, cards etc. and I didn't show much of my real passions at all. Time seems to pass so quickly these days I decided to fit in more of what I like doing best.

A wild variety of knits and Vic's new hobby

Hello Everyone and thank you to those who have become followers

The weekend was more relaxing for us as we decided to leave MIL with just the carers to see what happened. It was good to be able to do our own thing though the weather dictated the sort of things we could do as it was so cold and a bit icy in parts

Firstly Vic has found a new hobby for inside while the weather isn't too good. It involves lots of paper, folding and assembling into whatever you fancy. There is no glueing or anything as all the pieces slot together by magic if folded correctly

He got 3 packs of the ordinary coloured paper from W.H Smiths and still has lots left

I must add that it has taken much longer than just the weekend to make these
I had some little bits of the sparkly wool left so made some tiny, albino hedgehogs
Mittens with an odd ball of wool

Here she is my dressed rabbit called Shirley. She is just knitted out of oddments but I did buy the famous Cotton Rabbit Pattern and more or less followed it though I knitted the legs a bit longer than it said on the pattern. More by accident as I was watching a curling match on U-TUBE

Here she is again sitting on our Christmas Cactus that is usually full of flowers at this time of year. I think it must be having a rest this time as it only had a couple of flowers and that was way back in October. Hope it picks up again for next year

Love Chrissie xx

Wow. Vic's art is amazing. He could sell those. I have never seen anything like those before. Love your hedgehogs and those mittens too. Nice to have when it's getting cold. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

I'm thrilled you turned comments on. Vic's art is incredible, but so are your hedgehogs and darling bunny.

So glad you had a weekend to yourselves and it looks like you both had some creative time. Vic's paper folding looks fabulous, it must have taken days not hours to create those projects.
I love the hedgehogs you make and the rabbit is a sweetie.

Wow, Vic's paper sculptures are fabulous, lots of patience needed for those. Love the rabbit and hedgehogs. I used to make loads of knitted toys years and years ago, hands too bad to do too much now.
Have a wonderful Christmas.
